I wish I could have attended the UNITY conference, but work prevented me from doing so :(

Do you live in the south? If so, there is a radical DIY fest happening in Wilmington North Carolina in September!

I would be excited if there wasn't a very large ocean between me and them ;)

I really, really have to think about the whole accessible language thing and how that interacts with my impairment and my writing style. I'm painfully aware of how obscure, convoluted and academic-sounding my writing is, even when i'm trying not to be (it's one of the reasons i haven't been blogging very much recently) - it's just i seem unable to write in any other style, and i think it's at least in part because of how my neurology affects how i interact with language...

I've got all sorts of ideas swirling around in my head about accessibility of information, academia and democratising knowledge that i'm hoping will coalesce into a coherent post some time soon...

Oh, and wow, you changed the look of your blog *again*... i definitely can't keep up!
